Wonderfull information,I had nearly started soldering diods and resistors from previous posts but after reading this and checking out the document on the card reader i have found from testing my Vcc output (obtained from following the text) that i appear to be already sending 3.3V to my card.
I would say the latest firmwear has already lowered the voltage and my "brown" whitey card is damage already sustained to it prior to loading the firmwear. The card is still warmish to touch but no different to the warmth in the whole Box anyway.
