Kev try connecting the 300 to tomtom home.It will automatically update the navcore to 7.9 or the one i did last night.I was then able to install 720.1838 from the website.
But usually if you get no maps found you are halfway there.Have a read on Ipart they have all the instructions.
In the last two days i have done an XL, Go710, GO300.
If i am doing an update you need a Navcore that is compatable with the map.
I format, add the Navcore patch run get no maps found then reconnect add maps patch and presto your away.To test you can connect to Tomtom to ensure it doesnt fall over with updates etc.
