Thanks Downunder. Actually did get the app reinstalled etc but now back to original problem of freezing on startup on Tom Tom logo. Have not formatted the device yet because everytime I TRY TO BACKUP THE FILES IN WINDOWS xp it doesn't seem to copy all folders even though i have them all as "show hidden files" Guess that is the last resort but pretty ticked off that a new device does this only 1 day old. The fact that they have advice on how to fix it would indicate it is a common occurrence
Really wanted to stay "legal" so do you have any other advice - it is a Tom Tom XL IQ
