I have tried all i have found for PF08 but no solution. Updated bootloader too (PF05 which is what pf08 uses (I think) BOOTVER:0129) without result.

GPS gets stuck at the start screen. It turns off if i press the power button for about 10 seconds. It responds to bootloaders, img and cfg files present at the SDMMC but does none with YFAPP or YFUPDATE. I tried YFautorun too but doesn´t work too (I supose this only works once the WinCE is loaded)

Any idea?

I keep investigating. I was looking inside the PF05/PF08 bootloader for file names with an hex editor when one looked interesting. It was YFAPPART.img

PF05 bootloader doesn´t seem to react to YFAPP.WZP in the root of the SDMMC. I renamed YFAPP.WZP to YFAPPART.img and put on the SDMMC root. When restarted, bootloader says: App found! Update done! But doesn´t solve the problem.

At least now we know the name of the file that should contain the app in PF08 firmware. The bad thing is that Google doesn´t help...

Some opinions?

Hi, the following link is a proven firmware by myself which i have flash more than 10 units of the PF08 PND. Download, extract and copy all 5 files onto a NEWLY FAT32 formatted memory card. If your pnd boatloader is not corrupted, the PND should update without problem. The OS is in Chinese but the application menu can be in English Or Chinese. You may update the OS alone and choose "NO" for application update when prompt (if you need other languages).

Hi all
is there any way i can access nand flash for my dead PNA.software looked like this(when it worked)

it has a micro sd card slot.but i am confused how to update firmware as i simply can't access nandflash or micro card because the device gets stuck at following boot screen.

please help

I have contact the seler and they sent me a file that resolve the problem. My unit is:

By double clicking, the file unpacks. Copy the content to sd card. Put it in the unit and turn it on. That's it!

It didnt work for me, but anyway thanks, samkuek. At least now I know that mine is not only a firmware problem.

Everything started, I rememberred, when I was using the unit connected to the PC with the USB cable that comes with the unit. For some reason, it doesn't charge the battery of the unit, but the PNA "thinks" is charging because is plugged, and the battery goes empty. When the battery is near to its limit, the screen starts "blinking", like if it was failing.

The next time you try to turn it on, it just stucks on the boot picture.

Hardware fail? Any "flag" in registry that isn't erased with EraseReg?

At the moment I only have a "fully-static portrait" for my desktop (changing PF05 logo I can put my cat's photo)

hi, im new to this. i have just bought a double din dvd/satnav for my car from china. it has a sd slot which i need to be able to use the satnav but i didnt get one with it. it says that its Wince 6.0 and ive searched on google about this but didnt find anything usefull, but ive read that these can be unlocked....so what i want to know is how i can unlock it and use the satnav with the sd card. someone please help me i have never done this before. thank you for those who will help me.

I have found my firmware.it has 4 files named AtvUdt.BIN, logo.bmp, WinCE.img and WinCEApp.img.Now how can i flash my device.i can't access it via usb.So is there anyway i can flash it with these files?

Can you upload the firmware or post the link where you downloaded it?

I know our PND´s are different, but PF05 bootloader (mine) seems to be ready for reading app .img files, so I wanted to try it.

Mio pocket bricked my gps. It stops on the fist screeen "APICAL" and does nothing. I don't know the firmware version unforntnatelly it is a wince6 128MB 800x480 6" gps noname brand APICAL.

Hi guys, I need help.

I have two gps, but one not turn on, but detect in computer as MT3351 and no turn on display, this is MIDI-JAPAN 5049 with TVDIGITAL.
In the board:

Somewhere delete the Menu. When it start only come the startpicture ( White windmill and a red cabrio ).

No connect via USB-Port

Try insert a micro SD card into the navigator and check again.

Hello guys and gals.
I have one of those 7" GPS navigators and when I power ON the device a picture with Japanese woman comes up.I wanted to know if there is any way I could customize it,put my own startup picture in there.
I know that someone already asked this question and the other guy answered something about using AutorunCE file and finding the folder which contains the picture of Japanese woman,but I have no idea where I can find that AutorunCE file....or how to use it.
I can log into my WinCE 5.0 interface and dig inside but I can't find the picture of that cartoon woman.I also use ActiveSync to connect to my PC but now luck.
Does anyone know how to change it

Creat a bitmap image with 24bit color depth at exactly 800*480 resolution, rename it to Logo.bmp and copy to sd card, insert into PND and power on and the image should update
