Default Telstra Never Learn

I saw a commercial this morning about Telstra being Pre-paid, But why do they make it so expensive compared to the rest of the ISP providers ?????

Prepaid Plus - Next G - Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband - Telstra

New Telstra Pre-Paid Wireless Broadband

Wireless Broadband is now Pre-Paid with the Telstra Next G™ network. Because it’s Pre-Paid you only pay for what you use and there’s no fixed term contract.

To get fast, on the go internet that’s really easy to use, just purchase a Telstra Pre-Paid Wireless Broadband pack for $149. It has everything you need to get started including a USB Modem1 and $10 included credit (equivalent to 75MB2) with 30 day expiry.

This is the good bit

$20 13.3c 150MB
$30 13.3c 225MB
$40 13.3c 300MB
$50 8c 625MB
$60 8c 750MB
$805 2.25c 3.5GB
$100 1.65c 6GB

Any unused credit expires after 30 days. Recharging within the 30 days by these amounts will reset the 30 day credit expiry period. The data rate is determined by your most recent recharge amount.
Sending SMS from your laptop

You can send and receive text messages on your computer using the SMS Inbox in the Connection Manager, which is great if you’re unable to use your mobile.
Text Messages (SMS) (per 160 character message sent to each recipient, to any network in Australia) 25c
International Text Messages (SMS) (per 160 character message sent to each international number) 50c

Telstra are so greedy LOL

At least Telstra NextG works, try Virgin/Optus, what a nightmare.

Probably depends on where you are, Optus pre-paid wireless is fine in Byron Bay
