I'm seriously looking at aanet's kickstart plans as well Sanity...but I'm wary that they will up the price either when the contract ends or after a period of time as I was reading on whirlpool where they up the prices.
but otherwise this looks a dam good for the price, its a big toss up for me at the moment between aanet, TPG, Exetel.

Not everyone wants a huge download limit though and in all honesty I wouldnt join Exetel purely because it is a leechers paradise ISP. I prefer quality over quantity and am not a big downloader.

I've been with aanet for over 4 yrs and since the new owners a couple of years ago the prices have gone up and up. I don't need big download limits but that's how they think they have compensated me. I don't need 10G. I wanted them to stick me on one of those kickstart plans as they recomended I change to another plan recently and then they upped the price. I was disappointed they didn't look after me. I only need a couple of gig a month at home as I do all my downloading at work

a couple of mates have just gone onto the kickstarts.
i have been with aanet for over 4 years too.
maybe better or cheaper elsewhere but i have been extremely happy so far.

aanet have just got some new offerings now and well worth a look
i have just upgraded to 1500 25g (50% off peak)for $59.90
although i get less download than the 30gb i had on my previous 512 plan, i will be happier with the speed increase.
rarely do more than 5gb per month anyway now

Free fixed ip too

If I have to go back to adsl1.. I'll go with TPG again never had a problem with them.
If they had adsl2+ here I'd be with them now

Yes, Exetel have increased their peak ADSL2 plan quotas by 50%, NO EXTRA cost to the user.

ADSL2 $30(bundled) for 12 Gig peak and 48 Gig off-peak

ADSL2 $40(bundled) for 18 GIG peak and 48 Gig off-peak

Line rental is $25

At the moment, AANet customers can change plans at no cost...

Quote:
New ADSL1 and ADSL2+ plans
We have released new plans which are now live on the aaNet website! The new plans are designed to give you guys even better value, with low prices on higher speed and higher quota plans. The ADSL1 plans focus on 1500 Kbps (1.5 Mbps) plus speeds, as we believe you should experience real broadband speeds, without paying a premium.
All new plans are available to existing customers, and we are waiving all speed and plans change charges so if you see a plan that you like you can change to it for free!* All you need to do is login to your members section and select your new plan.
Click here to go to your members section
p.s. don't be alarmed these are just additional options available to you. We have no plans to migrate customers onto the new plans - it is entirely up to you.
