do we still have news groups

my server does not have a news server can i log onto another server or do i have to go through my server
i want to get into some embroidery fornis

Do you mean your ISP does not have a news feed?

There are a number of newsfeeds online that are free to subscribe to. Some better than others.
The pay ones aren't that dear either.

astraweb. It has never gone down since I have been using and pretty fast. Worth a look.
I think it was $20 us for 20 gig I think.
I only read text, no binaries.
I subscribed over a year ago and still going on my 20odd gig

its free so far and has the groups i need atm
