    Default cardwizz 1115 pmk extraction

    Hello all,
    cardwizz 1115 pmk extraction

I have forgotton the correct method to extract the pmk off of my aurora v1.2 sub card.

I can remember going into expert mode/algo, and I think we then pressed the step pmk 01 button.

I get the error message attached though, and think I need to change some of the start inc values.

Any old users remember the method please? My cobwebs are very thick.

I never used that one for key extraction but does it have a choice for prov 10 (Aroura)?

Are you using 98? Members had trouble under XP with cardwiz.

Failing all that have you tried FMcard400? Seems to work OK in XP, but to be sure I use 98 in VMware, problems eliminated.

From what i remember on this you had to extract hmk then you contact a freindly logger for a emk which was used to calculate the pmk.
With a Ird1 genuine sub card the pmk could not be extracted without damageing the card so be carefull.
    Cheers

no need to extract the pmk, emk's are rolling regularly atm.

just make up a card with hmk and other details and it will update within an hour.

Correct Hoe, but in this case the sub updated within 5 mins, but the clone no go after 2 days.

Re checked all data via LM edit, and thus surmise the pmk change.Swapped to a new card, and still same result at this stage.

Will leave it in some more

has the wafer worked with that hmk before ?
try clearing all plain keys and insert ff's into the prov10 pmk section. leave it for an hour and it should update.
sometimes inserting 0's in the prov00 sections helps

You must be a mind reader in your spare time when not giving us useful tools to download?

Tried all that too....bit of a mystery so far, but not time to give in yet

Just to recap and I'm sure you know this,
    along the lines of blade_900au
The HMK on the card normally doesn't change. They hit the card with an EMK that changes the PMK. Sooo, if you contact a friendly logger with your HSN & PrID he will give you the latest EMK.
You go to FMCalc and insert your HMK from the card with the EMK from your friendly logger and press calc and hey presto, you have your new PMK.
So, for the card to work you need:
    HSN
    PrID (10)
    PMK (10)
    HMK to auto update.
then it's a waiting game till the card writes the PSK's that ultimately give you the pics.

Don't forget to put the PrID and PMK in (10), not (00)

    Thanks jmc96,

Yep, know all that but appreciate the words.

will see what happens over the next few days, and may if necessary, put out the flag for a logger assist.

    Thanks all

    Update....Good news n bad news.

Don't need a friendly logger thanks.

Card didn't update...decided to do it on a silver and all is go.

Dunno what the go is lately, but gold don't seem to live long these days. Sitting in bog standard 642 or 660, they expire fairly rapidly...wonder why...perhaps the constant rolling effects the.

Ah well, problem solved, and I trust this exercise may help others?

    Over n out

You have me confused... were you talking about a clone or a goldie all the time? This is the MOSC (Modified Original Smart Card) forum after all.

Yeah, most of my old goldies have died as well. I only use old silvers now.

Coming back to my original post, does anyone know how to do the extractions with cardwizz? I appreciate the nudges to FMCard, but I have done it before with the other, but forget how!

ssrattus...I don't know if this needs to be moved, as the other section relates to wafers, pics etc, and this is a q about extraction from a card. Please feel free to nominate a different area if necessary, and I will close this and move it to the appropriate area?

try 1500 and 50 in the settings
    you need the hmk
if you have extracted it befor you can verify by geting your details from the silver and using HMKfind?
