Irdeto card

Hi, I'm a newb... :-/

I have a 'mainly blue coloured' f**tel smart card which has 041 as the last digits above the barcode.

I'm planning on getting a Dreambox very soon, and it was suggested that I post here because the card might be able to be reset/or made to work...

(Think I got that right?)

Any suggestions on what needs to be done, and maybe what I will need to do this?

If you mean 'reactivated' without paying a Sub, I think your very hopefull.
If the card is valid then it may work and then, it may not in a 3rd party STB, try it and see.
It may not as Foxtel like Austar are 'Pairing' the Card to STB so one wont work without the other and that also means it wont work in another Foxtel stb either.
Just be warned that 'Reactivation' of these cards often depends on who told you this and what Pub they were in and how long they had been there but, DONT pay untill you see the Picture on the screen.

Eddieb, someone with more knowledge than me may have more answers for you, but from the little I know, firstly the provider you mentioned is not Irdeto, but NDS, and sorry to say secondly these cards do not seem to work in any other box than the one they supply.

If you think you could use this card to get Foxtel.... or Austar forget it, (unless it is an Active Subscription Foxtel Card & in a Foxtel STB)

if it is a very old Foxtel Irdeto 1 card, I am not sure if it can used for anything else or not, either ?

I think it's an old Irdeto Foxtel card. Can't these be MOSC to receiver Aurora Irdeto1?

Someone with more experience than me will hopefully reply.

if its an irdeto 1 card contact me and I will help you get it to work with aurora if you have a programmer/Phoenix and some time to spare. does it have a 9 digit number on it? and is the 4th number 1 or 4?

gunna load it with dodgey chids, like all the dodgey cards you sell on ebay,matt you dont help anyone your an opportunist, you took advantage of member slighty and sold him a crappy hummy and dodgey card now thats sick dont know how you sleep with yourself

I was going to talk him through it and no they whern't dodgy cards! well the listed ones wheren't all are still running I gave my mobile number to all buyers there has been 2 EMK updates since then. I got them with half a pallet of Humax and boxes from an installer who was installing VAST
