    Default Radio code

Thanks, Whitey66, for the Barina radio code. A huge help. For anyone in Tassie, I have since learned that our Holden dealer (Motors) will provied the code at no charge- you just need to go in with rego papers and i.d.

Default Holden Barina radio key code

    Hi
I have seen that some people have had help with the key code for their radio after the battery has had to be changed. Just wondering if there is anybody that could help me.

    Default Re helping others

Have actually read that post and have been sitting here reading posts since I posted mine to see if there is anybody I can help. There are some of us who are genuine and do need genuine help and are willing to help others if we can. I am sure if I keep reading there will be someone I can help. This is my first afternoon on the site so how do I find a list where I can narrow down what knowledge I have to someone I may be able to help? e.g. is there an index of posts?

First off it's not really work because i'm doing it for free so no apology needed.
This sounds great in theory, but the truth of the matter is that the "Joe Average" has no idea his car even has a radio code till the battery goes flat or it is replaced.
Also remember that the reason they are changing the battery is because it isn't starting the car.The code is often lost at the moment when the car won't start because the voltage drops too low.

first off in tech goofs case the dealer should of had some idea you would think if he disconnected the battery he would lose the radio code ,the dealer should pay to get the code seeing as it was done before or around the time tech goof bought the car
yes i agree the average joe might not know about codes plus i know batterys dont last forever but your unlucky to lose your code unless you remove a terminal off the battery , the radio uses bugger all amps to hold the memory, i worked at a garage if vehicles came in with battery problems or anything related to removing the battery we asked about the code if they didnt have it we did what i said in the post above ,use a jumper pack
im not having a go at the average joe or anyone else i realise people buy radios from wreckers , or buy second hand cars where the previous owner has lost the code and if i was in the same boat i would want to know what the code was ,who knows i could be asking one day if your still on here

If you remove either of the terminals from the battery you still get zero volts, unless the radio unit has a storage battery or capacitor built in you will lose the code.

    Default RE radio code

Have asked this previously if anyone can help with the radio code for our daughters barina. Yes it was bought second hand and as a 20 year old did not know she needed to get the code from the previous owner. Just wondering if you need any more information other than the VIN number as nobody has been able to help yet.

i was thinking they might be stolen radios one or two people re registering under a different name if you look back everyone thats asked has only got 1 or 2 posts and if you click on their name and look for more posts they havent done any you can see why people get upset when 1 or 2 posters ask and dont give back
