Barina Radio Code and GM Rip Off I have the same problem after replacing Alternator in daughters 2002 Barina
and GM wants even more $$$ after fixing car just for radio code. Have tried downloading code generators for Blaupunkt 2020 but each time comes up with different codes and says radio serial No is not correct. Can someone provide the generation program and can help out others to generate codes.
Blaupunkt 2020 S/N BPO485 2 7895253 (This S/N is on label and also stamped into metal casing of radio)

Solved my own problem by following details in Post #221 download program there to be able to generate your own codes, it gave me 2 codes, the first one worked fine, it also matched another number I had generated previously (I was more worried about exhausting available attempts, then have to pay even more to GMH reactivate). You have to remove the radio from the dash to retrieve the serial number off the radio sticker / casing
Does anybody know a way to disable the code security on radio to prevent this happening in the future?
Also does anybody know of someone in Melbourne that does radio transponder keys to suit XC Barina, GM total cost quoted is around $380 plus key cutting cost.

Radio Code If its a Blaupunkt radio and you have the serial number that starts with BP0 I have a generator I can run it through to see if that will help. There are tutorials on the web indicating how to remove the radio, it was quite easy to do in my Daughters XC Barina.
ps just became premium member... so much to see on this austech forum (being a pc tech I will find this very useful for when even I get stumped)
