It sure is easy to listen to the humm of that blower.

It's just noticeable through all that cabin soundproofing.....

Comes through the air vents ok though...not enough to annoy the missus, so she can go get the bread and milk....

Only a humm?

You need to get the revs up Zed, it should let out a sexualy stimulating whine.

Use the 230kw and you will find out its front wheel drive very, very quickly.

I still say its great for what it is even for a front wheel drive, a family performance street car.

I'll say, I own a 2007 380 VRX and its bad enough with the stock 175KW.
I do hope that they've played with the traction control system a bit as it's bloody hopeless in the wet on a stockie

My only other critisism of the 380 is the godaweful seats, at least TRM have seen fit to upgrade them, that can only be a winner!

if only it wasn't a mitsubishi. Or a 380. Or ugly.
Yeah, so basically what I am saying is if only it were a real car, made by a real design team instead of a bunch of guys playing jigsaw with a tiny budget

I don't think you know what the topic here is.

Else you wouldn't say something as dumb as that.

I gave it a squirt on the way home (xxx kph)...and just walked in the door a few minutes ago.

BTW...630 klms for 57 litres, I think it uses less fuel than the stock...

Economical too hey? Remember cruzing should be pretty good but i think stop/ go and high revs would kill the milage like in any car.

So how was she at 20kph?

Pretty solid and stable id amagine.

Hows the acceleration, does the forced induction really push you back into the seat due to all the torque?

Does the suspension feel firmer than a regular 380 by much? A little or bone jarring alot?

And last does the blower whine at high rpm or have they fitted some new stimulation deadening belts to kill the joy?

Did you shit yourself the first time you gunned it?

Come on mate you can tell the truth no harm in admitting it.

Yeah, she seems to sit on the same economy as the stock model cruising at 110 km, but as soon as I gunned it up the hill from Adelaide the computer said 68 litres per 100 km.....

Good thing is I didn't need to do it for long cause I got lonely being at the front of the pack for too long....didn't take long for an XR6 to come along for some fun after I backed off a bit

Same as my mates skyline turbo...but smoother, and more consistent instead of just a big wack...

yeah completely different to the stock one....come to a round about and just keep going round...

Not hard on the back....though the western highway is pretty bumpy between Horsham and Ballarat...definitely prefers a race track.

Sticks like baby shit to a wet blanket though...

I just went back into your engine bay pic to look at the blower instalation and noticed rallyart added a strut brace.

I missed that the first time i looked.

Looks like they were pretty serious about getting the handling right.

hahahahaha....the only difference from Mitsubishi to Holden and Ford is that they are the FIRST ones to close shop here in Australia.

Mitsubishi is FAR superior in build quality than both Holden and Ford AND yes I can talk from Design and Engineering for ALL three brands here in Australia.

Mitsubishi downfall here in Aus was a VERY poor marketing team....IMO

sorry back on topic...

You're not wrong there Shagga66...

They were exporting over 200 Magnas a day to the US just 4 years ago.

But once the dollar climbed from 50 cents to 75 cents the japs pulled the pin and setup a dedicated 380 factory in California instead of the Ausssie built product exports.

And since it is around 90 cents now it means an Aussie built 380VRX would retail for over $100k in the states....that was the final nail in the coffin.

So all product built by Mitsubishi in Australia has full rust proofing because it was cheaper to make just one assembly line, export quality product.

I doubt you'll ever see any rust in a 380.

nah.....all 380's have that bar.

The TMR380 just has a thicker,shinier one.

The blower install is perfect, everything in it's place, nicely laid out.

Brother has one as well one of the lasdt series 3 still on lease....Try this:-

take the rear muffler out for a really nice note...

No shit...it's nice and throaty without being over the top.

He reckons the manual uses 10% more fuel unfortunately....and I believe is not LPG compatible....
