| Premium Member | Here is what I am currently getting on LPG for those interested in it. (straight from the onboard computer in the car) -------------------------------------------------------- Engine 3.8 Litre V6 24 valve Distance logged 2000 kilometres Total fuel used 208 litres Environment Mixed freeway/city cycle Average speed 75 klm/hr ----------------------------------------- total cost $127.92 (average 61 cents per litre) This was 10 trips from Torquay to Collingwood and back. This was approx 60 sets of traffic lights per trip 20 through Geelong and 10 along Hoddle street...each way. So a mix of highway and city driving. I am pretty impressed.....it works out at 10.5 L/100klm Or in the old language about 27 miles to the gallon. ![]() Not bad for 3.8 Litres of full sized car. |

| Premium Member | @nerd1-it's dual fuel and gets 10% better on 91 unleaded. @FTO-It actually feels like it's got more power, it is an Impco Sequent 56 vapour injection system. Factory approved Mitsubishi 380 kit, done at Agostini Mitsubishi in Main North Road, Nailsworth SA. $4000 then the government rebate of $2000. It starts on petrol for about 60 seconds until coolant temperature starts to rise then changes over by itself. @Bulbous-yes, see your local LPG fitter ![]() This is the link for more info:- Impco Sequent 56 etcetera BTW filled up for $0.59 cents a litre at Shell westgate last night...over a dollar a litre cheaper...at $60 a tank savings it will not take long to pay back... ![]() |

| Killer HKS GTR | Ok heres a comparison for people. Subject vehicle Ford Ea series 2 station wagon 3.9 Ltr center point efi 4speed auto Dual fuel Impco mixer lpg system, closed loop. Average city 400 km per tank lpg Average country 460 km per tank lpg Tank is 68ltrs from bone dry to fill. Say average city country mix is 420 considering more city than country driving. =6.176 km per ltr. Zeds getting 9.615 km per ltr. Thats 50% better milage or economy. ![]() Lets also remember the Fords got 330,000 km on her, older technology, heavyer car with the first basic style of lpg. Shows what a newer, lighter more advanced car with a modern lpg system can achive. With the price of fuel rising it definitly the way to go at the moment. Less than $40 to fill for the week is unheard of for you petrol fellas... Oh and it also produces more power on gas than on petrol, because its tuned for it with a non factory tune. Its the way to go boys ![]() |

![]() | Lol, you mean a fine piece of motoring junk. The only value in them is cheap crash and bang transport. Mind you updating to a newer car with sequential injection will be on the cards when fuel gets higher in price. In your car youd get over 600km on the same amount of fuel. |
