got a 2g 8gb here in peices. logic board and lcd good. Tore the ribbon cable replacing screen and home button wasnt working. Went to replace but it but gave up.

this is a common thing with the 2 g ones -the display are one piece glued to gether -not designed to be repaired

Hey Wilee,

have managed to destroy a 2G phone before...... yes found out that the digitiser and LCD are one, and that little ribbon cable is definately easy to rip!

but, I did manage to find an international ebayer who sells 2G shells (complete front, digitiser, LCD) excluding the back, motherboard & battery for about $110 AU .

So if I can get the internals of a 2G nice n cheap, then I can get a back and front - put it all together and I have a complete 2G phone

so I'm not fussed how buggered the outside is - just need the little motherboard and battery
