Default Foxtel multiroom for HD IQ2

Since the IQ2 does not support RF output, I am looking for suggestions to achieve multiroom viewing [at least 3 other rooms], before I choose to upgrade. I do not require the highest quality in the other rooms; just that the picture is viewable and I can change channels. I have had problems with wireless systems in the past. The rooms are already wired with cat6 and coax [2 of each] running back to a central location in the roof
    All solutions welcome

have a look at clipsal starserve can be a bit costly for a full setup with two four channel modulators like i have, but one channel might not cost that much

Why not get some baluns which convert your rca's over to cat5 and vice versa. Do a search in google for cat5 rca balun.

Not sure if I can post a link to a company which makes them.

I have used these in the past... and my feelings for them now are total crap and waste of time. They do not preform as Clipsal Quotes and the new IQ2 remotes can have issues on the Clipsal system. I will agree the concept was good. But the parts that failed on my job ended in Clipsal taking part of the Star Serve System off the market.

    Personaly i would do this:

    GME Kingray Stereo UHF Modulator
    Kordz IR-Repeater system.

You can also buy the same reapeater system Kordz use on many sites as it goes under many names... but it's all the same base product.

I have swapped a few failing Clipsal Star Serve systems over to this config and they work great.

You just pump the Foxtel into a free UHF channel (and all your HD channels will come through too, just in HD of course)
And use a Cat5 cable to run the repeater system. Targets are very slim and appealing and don't need external power packs like the Clipsal Star System.
It also gives you a better remote control range than the Clipsal system.

So can I ask, this repeater system requires a connection is series back to itself or can it be star wired to multiple outlets. As I have never used one of these I am assuming a small IR sits in front of the IQ box and plugs into a repeater station??

This system would also be ideal for IQ1 over the multi room remote would it not? I have tried getting multi room to work in 2 rooms using a 2 way splitter on the outgoing RF cable from the IQ1 box but both rooms failed to operate together I had to take 1 leg off the splitter to get either one to work.

Oh you have a lot to learn.
Google the parts i mention, you will see how it works.
As for the RF out on a Foxtel box...... There's your first problem

Anyway, nice to see the OP gets back to thank those members that have given him free advice.

Yeah I will - So I assume the Foxtel RF out is limited - I notice only 1 RF out supports the Remote IQ as well.
