G'day, was after the software for tait 8120 and the 2020 series 2,
You will find them at
Joining the group is straight forward and the members are very helpful.
You could also use the Austech SEARCH facility located at the top/right of this web page, as the software might have been posted previously.
TM8100 series programming software v.3.0 is available via my previous post #16 in this thread.
The links are active as I have just checked them.
Have you read that post?
Have you tried that software?
I have also uploaded a later version TM8100 series software, v.3.08, to .
Thanks for that, the links appear to not work for me however, and i must be after software for the 8120 speficly authough i am not sure, this software only allows me to program 99 channels,
Occasionally there are problems with Megaupload - I have experienced it myself.
They do not last for long and eventually all is well, so persevere.
"If at first you don't succeed, try, try again"!
Your statement, "i must be after software for the 8120 speficly authough i am not sure" is self-contradictory.
I am not aware of "specific" TM8120 software and believe that TM81xx series software will work. I've uploaded the latest version TM81xx series software for you.
Are you using the correct cable and a "real" computer comms port? USB ports and USB/Serial adaptors are notoriously unreliable.
You mentioned only "8120" without the prefix, so perhaps you are referring to a TP8120 instead? (I have not come across a TM8120 (mobile), but I do know that there is a TP8120 (portable)).

Hi, I am new on this forum, but was wondering if anyone can help with the latest version of the TM8250 software (V6.2 possibly, after reading some other threads). I have the older V4.x software, but it won't read one of my radios with newer firmware in it. Thanks, Andrew
Has anyone bought/used the programming cable for the TM8110 from Radioworks.com.au??
Any prob's, works ok?????
Also need a mic...or should I just buy a joe average mic and redo the jack to suit my radio
does anyone have the mic pin drawing ?
I use one of theirs to program a TM8115. No problem - seem a quality product.
TM8000 radios use an electret mic element. Pins are numbered from top to bottom 1 to 8.
1 is low level RX Audio (for a headset)
2 is 13.8V switched (low current supply only)
3 is mic TX data used in programming (date out of radio)
4 is mic PTT (low to TX)
5 is mic audio in
6 is ground
7 is mic RX data used in programming (in to radio)
8 is a control line actives whatever the programming allows (default is nothing)
Have aquired two brand new mic's @ $29 each from the UK to arrive here at the end of the month
thanks for all any one give me photo for cable diagram for tp8100 and the software tm8100 work with tp 8100??
The TP8100 is a hand held.
Pins for the Tait TP8100 Hand Held Radios are 1 to 4 closest to radio front
top to bottom, 5 to 9 closest to back of radio top to bottom.
1 TXD (data out of radio for programming) 0V DC
2 SPKR - 0V DC *
3 Digital Function (Low detects spkr mic fitted to mute internal spkr) 3V DC
4 Acc PWR (switched 7.2V - 8V DC)
6 PTT (Low to TX) 3.2V DC
7 SPKR + 0V DC *
8 Mic (electret mic audio input with 3V DC bias)
9 RXD (data in to radio for programming) 2.8V DC
*Note the spkr is a balanced circuit do not earth either - or +, .5Watt, 16 ohm min load
Adapt pins to the T2000 or TM8000 Programming lead.
hi megaupload got shutdown can you repost the link for the progaming cable for tm8000
i tried makin it but it doesnt work. also the tm8200 needs a rj45 8pin
