Motorola GM338 Programming & Cable

I just got given a Motorola GM338 UHF Mobile 470-520Mhz 16 channel.
Im after a circuit for the programming cable and suitible software, to prog up 16 CBRS channels

Is the programming cable and software also suitable for the Motorola GM339? Model AZM25SHF9AN5 Ver No R03.05.00 ? if not I'd be grateful for a copy of the right software/cable details as well if anyone has it.

Both radios are the CDM/Pro series. they will use the same cable. They use the same software (AZ market).

Thanks for the prog, Im going to build the circuit to prog, just a question, is there a example codeplug for OZ UHF CB for the GM338 16 convential channels ?

there might be a codeplug sample in the AZ software. Most of the sample codeplugs are UHF.

I think we can't use CPS the same MDC and Select 5.

Sorry, not up on programming these radios. Are you saying that the cable is the same, but you can't use the software? And what is the select 5?

gm338 and gm339 radio programming cable is the same but the software are difference to support MDC or Select 5.

MDC ...
Select 5 or Selcal ...

According to MOL both the 338 and 339 use the waris Pro software. The differance in the signalling type (MDC or Select 5) is controlled by the radio options and not the software needed to program the feature.

Does anyone know if the db9 cable that suits a RIB RLN4008 (DB9 RIB -> DB9 PC) a straight through serial cable or is it wired differently?

Cant seem to find the pinouts anywhere..

HI

I have a gm398 and $16 cable from ebay

I'm unable to have any luck with the above software r6.11.12 or r3.11.15_as

The first software gives me the check connections error and the last gives me radio to compatible with this software.

Maybe different software again?
