Does anyone happen to have the CVN and DVN for XTS2500 R09?

    Thanks in advance!

Trying to downgrade a BN radio. Is that even possible with depot R07?

You cant downgrade the current codeplug with the depot software. what you can do is downgrade firmware and then create a new codeplug with the depot.

I am also looking for the earlier versions of the firmware (for a differnet application).

    Hopefully on the firmware.

yes you can write a codeplug to the radio reguardless of the firmware in the radio. But to use something like FPP you will need the v9.00.00 or earlier firmware.

you could try the zapflash method you may have to use cps r9 i think a newer version will do it i have bricked a radio and was able to bring it back to life using zapflash
zapflash is a diffrent method of firmware upgrade as you put the radio into a bootloader mode

Currently my XTS2500 has R11. Trying to downgrade to R09.

Tried CPS R09 to flash firmware in regular and bootloader mode. Both times, port failed to open even thought it can read/write codeplugs fine.

Tried CPS R16 to flash firmware in regular and bootloader mode, but bootloader screen shows invalid firmware.

Anyone has any success stories in downgrading firmware?

if you are trying to get fpp from what i understand new firmware does work you have to use cps r9
you could write a new codeplug using depot 7 this should allow r9 cps to be used
    i might be wrong

Yes, I've managed to create a FPP codeplug with depot R07, and program radio with CPS R09. Just thought I'd give it a go flashing it from R11 to R09.

are you doing it zapflash which shows errors(this is normal doing zapflash) but it does load the firmware into radio
there is another way you can do it but is very dangerous it involves bricking radio i have done it by accident but i was able to reload firmware back to radio
newer firmwares have a lot of fixes as well and a better dsp

You're right, freerider_aus. It did load the firmware in just fine.

I've seen a few XTS with 2000 channels capacity. Anyone know how this is archieved? A codeplug hack perhaps?

    OK seems some problems.
You must be the only person left running R11 firmware that has not had their radio bricked.LOL

If you are having problems start fresh with a depot 7 code plug, other words wipe everything.

Use CPS R09 and force the radio into Flashzap mode.
    Connect cable to radio
    Cps will load Flashzap drives
Open menu in cps and select the r09 firmware file
Click on download firmware and a fail pop up box will appear click close red X Right hand corner.
Next important thing to do is go to the kitchen & make a cup of tea....
You will see another pop up box stating that the Codeplug was not up graded, read and write with CPS R09 and that it.

Clicking or doing other things on your computer when cps is doing a firmware up/ down grade is not a good thing to do. So make your self a cup of tea and wait... this is important....I'm not joking either

Thanks for R16.02.00 firmware could that kind person also up load xts4K5K ASP+ UCM and anything else Pleaseeee

    OK Boys & Girls

Because it's Christmas Time & I'm a nice guy & you people have up loaded things I want; I will give you a very special Christmas gift.

Remember you don't go asking Santa how he makes his toys or say I don't like that toy because it's not my favorite color, you just say thank you.....

Use Depot 7 and write it to your radio, Adjust it how you want and if I see someone charging money for it that person will have pissed on Santa's leg, Pissing on Satan included starting roomers, Talking about Santa, Trying to find out who Santa is and anything else along those lines...we all know what Bad boys get for Christmas from Santa..... Nothing

In Less then 12 hours a person just pissed on Santa's leg.

    That very disappointing to see.

I'm actually running R11.00.01, which Motorola supposingly fixed LOL!!! But I prefer it to be R09 and be the same as the rest of my radios.

    Thanks aes for the codeplug
