Anyone know how to create a EF Johnson system key? If not does anyone have a EF Johnson soft key they would share? I'm hoping there is a way to convert my old motorola keys.

i have a motorola type MTX 900 but I can not make a car key system motorola 800 mhz trunking may be able to help my friends
Motorola system keys and johnson system keys are two totally differnt items. Motorola keys work on motorola formatted trunking, the johnson keys work on P25 compliant trunking.

Im guesing its Probaly like a motorola sys key gen program.
Reading from another site, the key is supposed to be small maybe a 100 bytes or so?
I know they are very different, but trying to find a way to create the keys I need.
There's a program for making syskey from motorola trunking?
Yes, and it's a super old school DOS based program.. It's called the system key Generator. Just poke around with google, you should find it..![]()
I've been intrigued since reading this thread because EFJ's can be had for 1/3 the price of motherolas :-D in the used market. From what I've read, there are both SSKs and ASKs for EFJ just like moto, but I've not seen a single instance of a key generator being leaked a'la skeygen
Some later information on the keys. A knolagable freind has told me that A EFJ key will allow a EFJ radio to work on a trunked system Motorola or otherwise.
Hopefully either a keygen will leak or maybe some keys will be posted so others can look at them.
I'm sure that it's a similar file structure. Just need to have a few to look at.
I can post an example of one... Just have to figure out how to upload to filebox....
Here is a screenshot of a "dummy" EFJ Key from a member at P25.ca

Dummy Key has been uploaded into filebox!!!!
Hmm... this appears to be a SmartZone system key. Does anyone have any more for comparason? Or maybe a P25 key or two?
I've been told that EFJ uses 3 different encryptions. DES, MD4, MD5. I haven't had a chance to try to decrypt a key yet.
Reading the posts at P25 it looks like the key maybe using AES.
We could try to patch PCConfigure itself to not require the key file, or maybe try to decompile the program to determine what exactly it looks for in the key file. Anyone good with programming delphi?
The ideal solution would be to locate the place where the key is actualy decrypted and recover the unencrypted data. Then keys clould be created for any release.
