Mediastar HDX 9100 Full HD
After a long wait Mediastar have released their new Combo HD PVR, I am having a play with this new box. Its compact and does just about anything you could possibly want.
Satellite and Terrestrial MPEG 4/2 H264 PVR (External USB HDD)
2 card slots embedded dose ALL working cards excluding sponge bob
2 CI slots, USB 2.0, HDMI, YPbPr, Ethernet.
Record terrestrial view sat at the same time or record one terrestrial and one satellite at the same time. Record sat and view another sat from same TP or the same from terrestrial.
It has weekly epg with search engine. Set recording timer from EPG selection same as IQ box.

I haven’t checked the Ethernet features yet. IP or FTP can be set for remote access.
Not on the MS OZ website yet, any pics, links etc?

Will these boxes connect to a server if u wanted to card share and get pics like the octagon does..
Can anyone answer this...it will sway me into buying one if it does what the octagon does.

I am pretty sure that the ethernet connection ob this box is only useful for ftp, so that you can extract recorded content to a PC.
I don't believe it shares.
New out of the box it won't. But like so many other boxes, google about should get you there.

Been there and even the vantage software doesnt have the option.
Also u can not load the emu vantage software into the box...
I would say u have to do the original vantage software then emu software from there.
But if it all doesnt work i have a door stop...no thanks....
