Hi Leroy,
Can you answer some technical questions on the X-9200 please?
1. Is there any solution that can have 3 tuners or can properly integrate an external USB DVB-S/S2 tuner with the inbuilt tuners? I think I read somewhere that the Ultraplus could use an external tuner but couldn't record from it or integrate it into the main EPG?
Is there a three tuner model in the works? Vu+ do a Vu+ Ultimo (3 tuner) but I cant find a NZ dealer.
I understand that the Ultraplus 9200 can record to a networked drive and also playback content recorded on another ultraplus PVR over the network.
2. Can the local recordings and ones from networked storage and other ultraplus pvrs be listed in a combined list of recordings, or do you have to browse the separate areas for recordings?
3. If you have two 9200's can they share available tuners into a tuner pool? IE if one box runs out of tuners can it schedule a recording on the other PVR over the lan?
4. In NZ Freeview DVB-T doesn't have a 7 day EIT epg, only freeview DVB-S does. If you replace both DVB-S tuner modules with DVB-T tuners, how can you update the EPG?
5. Can the ultraplus playback win7 media centre TV recordings ie .wtv files?
Can you PM me a price to deliver one to NZ with 2 x NZ freeview compatable DVB-T tuners.
Regards Allen.
P.S. your link to the user manual on megaupload no longer works since the FBI took them down.

Is the NZ dealer for Ultraplus

Sure
I bought one of the USB DVB-T tuners for the list and tried another and couldn't get it to work in my 9200. In saying that, that was a few firmware releases ago and I haven't tried since. Yes aparently you could only use it to view and not record. No 3 tuner model in the pipeline that I'm aware of.1. Not sure that anyone is dealing in Vu's in NZ at the moment. You can use a DVB-T USB tuner with the Vu.

No not a combines list.2. Can the local recordings and ones from networked storage and other ultraplus pvrs be listed in a combined list of recordings, or do you have to browse the separate areas for recordings?

This works fine here in Australia as I've sold a few to people that wanted to use it just as a DVB-T PVR. I'm unsure about the NZ situation and you might want to chat to the freeviewshop.co.nz4. I haven't tried. Someone else may comment.5. Can the ultraplus playback win7 media centre TV recordings ie .wtv files?
no probs and the manual is now uploaded to the filebox located in the upper left hand side. Can you PM me a price to deliver one to NZ with 2 x NZ freeview compatable DVB-T tuners.

Hi Leroy,
Sorry if these are dumb qustions but i've tried to research the different PVRs cause my tv which had one died, but it seems most can't record my foxtel shows, which is via satellite, but i don;t understand these different combinations of tuners.
So this ultraplus x-9200HD can record my foxtel while i'm watching freetv and vice versa? Can i watch 1 foxtel show and record another or is that just with IQ? And is it constantly recording so i can pause live tv? Do i have to buy a hard drive? Do i have to connect the foxtel to the PVR instead of the tv? My wireless router has problems connecting to other devices, so can i use an ethernet cable to do updates of firmware?
Thanks - if this all meets my needs do you have any for sale :-)
Hi Mikey,
It's does all that and more but not with a foxtel cards due to a countermeasure foxtel implemted a while back. Hopefully there will be a fix down the track.
Most Austar cards work fine but only a few will do all the dual tuner features.
Works fine for all FTA satellite and also you have the option to replace one of the satellite tuners with e DVB-T tuner for fta TV reception.
Though possible to use the ethernet connection, firmware is usually updated via a USB memory stick.

Hi, I'm interested in purchasing for future C-Band Dish, so I can pick up the Italian Channel. In the mean time I wish to use the UltraPlus X-9200 PVR for my Austar service, I'm using just the standard Box, not Mystar for PayTV. I gather that this unit will work with the Austar Service I have now?
Also where can I purchase one of these from?
I sent you a PM LeroyPatrol
Yes this receiver works on both C & Ku band services and you can use your Austar card as well so you can record programs etc.
I'll send you the details on how to purchase.
Cheers,
Leroy

Is it possible to use an original aurora card in this box?
It is one of the early cards. The card works in a dm800... do contacts go up or down?
