I'm with ozisat on this one.
If there's an issue with the installation and the installer has selected the most-suitable antenna for that particular job, it's covered under warranty.
If the antenna supplied by the customer is not optimal for the location, the customer will still complain that the end result (reception reliabilty) is not good enough.
Have you ever tried bying parts for your car at K-Mart then taking them to your vehicle's dealer service centre and asking them to fit them?

The other thing i get is people buying complete satellite FTA kits of ebay then ringing around and asking for quotes in getting it installed.
Once again they find themselves stuck in trying to find someone taking on the job.
