    Default Outdoor TV antenna direction!

Hi, This is my first post.
I moved to Burren Gate of Willetton (PC: 6155) and it was surprised that there is no TV terminal in the room. I am going to insert a outdoor TV antenna into the existing Foxtel Post on the roof (not top). what is the direction I shall roughly point to the TV transmitters?

I looked at the neighbors and their directions are different (some to north, some to northeast).

    Thanks a lot

The main Perth transmitters at Carmel/Bickley are approx 76 deg true from your approx location, so that is roughly E/NE.

    G'Day,
Been playing around, so can confirm that. The green circle is the Main Transmitter locations.

As long as it's secure, it doesn't matter how it's mounted.... and you get reliable reception.

Good use of an existing mounting option.

You notice a lot of similar installations are using 1 or 2 tube supports when the mast is over a metre high.
A much better idea than wire guys for stability in any area but more so for those who are prone to frequent Land Gale force winds particulary during the Winter.

I insert a spanner to the original tube to stablize my antenna thin post.

If you did what I think you did with that spanner, you would be better making a sleeve out of something, even tape to sit one mast inside the other then TEK screw it together as over time the mast can wobble about due to the winds.
Jammed a lot of things into a lot of places but I have never put a 'spanner in the works', that's a joke, Joyce !!!

Drill thru with 2 small tek screws at approx ninety degrees offset.

    Default Outdoor TV antenna direction

Sorry to come to this late but you can always try this website if you want to know which direction to point your antenna, no matter where you live in Australia:
As well as indicating switchover times it puts up a Google map showing direction to the appropriate services and expectations about coverage. Has the ability to choose between transmission sites where you live in an area that has options. Offers some limited advice on antenna types and installers.
