NewCS 1.61 Released

From Changelog
v.1.61
Fixed alot of instability problems in Chameleon2.
Added the possibility to run multiple Chameleon2 servers. (just add more server sections)
Added realm on running server *NB* Config needs to be modified!
Added alternative EMM method for oz. (irdetomode in config)
Updated CDK for freetz to use uClibc 0.29.

PS!
Sadly we havent had time to fix win32-related bugs, there seems to be a few who have had problems with it,
even though we cant reproduce them. (logs people..)
Are the "minimize to tray" feature important enough to keep the window-based version of newcs? Or should we
go back to the old console version?

For Pli Jade users, if you update your download menus you will find it in blue button > downloads > softcams - already to be installed on your box ..

Also missing from the readme and default config is the new parameter to block irdeto C0 emm's.

Hi Guys,

Have it running atm. Still has the crash bug on win32 version, but you change the output log file to none and it runs

running with
<irdetomode>1</irdetomode>
<blockc0>yes</blockc0>

downside is cant see any console output so will have to install on dream to see if it passes the correct emm's

will see if it runs ok, atm no pixelation and clean channel changes

in debug section:-

it seems to work okay.

But pain in the arse cause can't see any console output.

I've just installed 1.61 in my 7020. Seems to be ok so far

I'm using a Smargo but it only works as type "phoenix" not "smartreader". Even though the NewCS docs say type can be "smartreader". Console says NewCS recognises the smargo then card not found

Any hints?

look at the EMMs

uses mgcamd 1.30d as your only Updating AU user.
and irdetomode = 0 i know 1 is for OZ but look at the packet processed against packet received. you will find that 0 is working and 1 isnt its all revealed when you look and play and have some sort of an idea at what your looking at too.

just because they say for OZ use this dont mean its been tested correctly. its upto everyone to test and report back if you want the bugs worked out.

At this stage I agree Davo, those settings and Mgcamd have been fine so far for me (48hrs+),<irdetomode>1</irdetomode> does not work for us .
I was going to wait a week before reporting back but so far it looks good, but then again i did not have a problem with 1.60 and Mgcamd.

Try using "smartreader+"

Thanks. Did try that. Obviously did something wrong the first time as it failed.

Looks like the docs need to be updated to add the "+"

Also changed to <irdetomode>0</irdetomode>

Anybody finding newcs flakey? Users logon fine sometimes but after a restart I can't get them or local logged on again.

i have found i have to set local cam to none before i start newcs. then i can start mgcamd. wierd
