i know this has been asked before... but who has had success in activating a ir2 card in a dm500 using an external reader... if so which emu and settings/config....
i hear scam can do it , however i only have access to the external reader..

i have tried cccam and newcs , it does not seem to kick start... have left it for 24 hrs...
i would like to know if any1 has had success of gettin a card activated in a dreambox using a external reader setup...

I would use the streeter utilities , read the hsn in your reader with fmcard or card explorer. Log the the stream, find the emk for your card and send it to your card.

thats the whole point... i was wondering if theres a way without doing all that....
surely a dreambox emulator can activate a card somewhere hmm...
Dreamboxs have problems activating virginal cards for some reason.
Lucky I have and old nokia 9600 with a 2.06 all cam. This works with acs4.1 card but beyond that I was back to logging and manual emk hit.
The Openbox 810 seems to do a good job to file cards with the 4.99 firmware.

i just thought that over the years that perhaps the emus would do better in activations...
scam i hear will get it working but then again my slot reader does not work, phoenix is attached...
interesting to find a actual emu which supports external reader and will kick of the card withouth manually updating the card....
what's with the bung internal slots? That's the second one I've read about in a week! What r u guys doing to them?
