i would use Pli jade as your image and use your null modem cable and dreamup to upload the image. from there ftp into it using cuteftp or whatever ftp software you want.

CCcam or NewCS are the most common cams used for a bluey. Even if you are not planning to have clients connected to your box, you still need to set the emu up as if you were. The only thing that will change if you decide to add clients is the addition of a F: line, which will give them a login.

PLENTY of threads on how to set this up. Feel free to post if you get stuck, and i'm sure you'll get some help.

Look very carefully at your server and client config files and maybe follow the examples that have previously been posted

Personally, I have never been a fan of Gemini images - always been a PLi man. Regardless both Gemini or PLi will do the same thing, and the setup is identical. Since this is the box which will have the bluey in it, i suggest at least CCcam 2.09 as it can handle emm updates and keep your card going.

If you are still baffled, post a copy of your current CCcam.cfg file and I'll have a look to see if your are missing anything.

It's always good that you can connect to the net with it, but it's not needed at the moment from a sharing perspective. CCcam will keep all localhost requests internal, so you do not need internet at all if you have your card in the slot.

By the sounds of it, you don't know what cccam.cfg is, which would explain why nothing is working for you yet.

Essentially the dreambox is a linux pc with custom hardware. Ftp to it (fill in the gap: ftp://dreambox_ip) then go into the var/etc folder and in there you should have a file called cccam.cfg. Open that with notepad, and then copy/paste it here.

    username: root
    password: dreambox

Have a look at the downloads again. You should find CCcam.cfg there, you don't need to download CCcam again.

Might be time for you to do a little bit more reading & research

Have you looked at or edited the config files yet?

Newcs.xml will set the port, the deskey and the users

In CCcam.cfg needs only to have the N: line

The N: line needs the following, as specified in the newcs.xml config file

    N: 127.0.0.1 6666 user pass 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

N: tells it that it is conecting to a Newcamd compatible server (NewCS)

    127.0.0.1 = "Localhost" - i.e. - it's self (it is a 'loopback') - if you don't understand, google 'localhost'

6666 is the port as specified in Newcs

user = the user name as specified in Newcs

Pass = password as specified in NewCS

    01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 is the 14 bit DESKEY as specified in NewCS
