Default DM-500S unable to lock satellite

Hi All, absolute noob here, hence the question. I actually paid someone to install my fixed 1.8m satellite dish and am hook up to the FTA channels with a strong 4651X. I have recently given a Dreambox DM-500s with Gemini image which i am trying to get it to work.

My setup is: 1.8m fixed dish and 2 LNB pointing at Asiasat 3S and Chinasat6B.

My current problem is i can't lock to any satellites at all. when i do a satfind, i am geting 23% SNR, 0% AGC and 8224 BER. my gut feeling, it has something to do with incorrect Diseqc parameter (which i have tried A/A, A/B,....1,2, but without any success).

Here is my question, is it possible for me to set the satellite configuratin to one single satellite even though i have 2 LNBs?

    thanks again for your time.

Goto menu > setup > sat config > service searching

Change setting to "Non standard user confined config"
High light LNB0 & press OK.

Enter your LNB setting there to match the LNB you are using.

If it is C-Band, it will most likely be 05150 in all three boxes

What I told you to do is straight out of the users manual.
Have you bothered to read the manual?

    Maybe you have lost it?
You can download a copy here ->

I would strongly recommend that you take the time to read the manual first.
