Default DM500 with Phoenix and Aurora

    Can somebody please help me?

    I have a DM500 --> @ Optus C1.

I have a genuine Epsilon V5 (4105 xxxx xxx series) activated on FTA Channels except 7.

I can read the card details in Cccam 2.0.9 with the internal reader, however, although the 'I' in the OSD info goes from Yellow to Green I have no audio or video. The card works in my old Echostar with Irdeto Purple Cam (904505 Rev1.1).

I can get no details at all from the card in the Jaycar MkII. The reader is present in the Card Info sticky.

I, to the best of my abilities, have eliminated a build (or other) problem with the MkII. It can read the details of the card using FMcard V4.0 through the serial port (same serial cable) on my PC.

    Stumped!

    Any Idea's please?

    Thanks in Advance

I started with a blank CCcam.cfg and got the same sympton with the green "I" but no pics
so I added these lines and got pics straight away

    Code:
    CAMKEY: /dev/sci0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
    CAMKEY: /dev/sci1 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
sharing has gotta be easier with CCcam
    your mileage may vary

It works for the internal reader but replies 'No card Present' from the jaycar?

It is running at 6mhz. (working on pc serial)

I have not altered the Cccam.cfg other than the CAMKEY mod from previous post. I am a total noob and appreciate all the help.

    Thanks

you do need a few more lines in cccam.cfg to run a jaycar on serial

for my phoenix I use these - I dont know what a jaycar needs..

    Code:
    SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/tts/0 6000000
    SERIAL READER : /dev/tts/0 phoenix
    PHOENIX READER PATH : /dev/tts/0
    CAMKEY: /dev/tts/0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

This config worked for a NDS in the slot and Mr White in the Jaycar.
    Code:
    SERIAL READER : /dev/tts/0 phoenix
    B: /dev/tts/0 04
    CAMKEY: /dev/tts/0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
    CAMDATA: /dev/tts/0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
    TRY ALL CHIDS : /dev/tts/0

    CAMKEY: /dev/sci0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 (8 Bytes)
    CAMDATA: /dev/sci0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 (64 Bytes)

Mine has been going like that for months....it hasn't burnt out yet. Perhaps I need to drop it.

My card was a very new one.. nds3 perhaps.. it burned as soon as it went in the DM.. it also dead shorts the jaycar (very dim leds) as soon as its pushed in... so if yours has been running for a long time without heat issue's i probably wouldnt be too concerned.

Trying that new config for the jaycar now.

I entered the settings you gave me from your own config, only changing the clock speed of the card back to 6Mhz and the jaycar negotiated immediately with the Epsilon. Thankyou very much... I appreciate all the help.

Interested as to what this line is? something for sharing?

I can't find it in my notes at present but from memory I think the B line stopped the updates. If/when I find the info I will correct this post.

I have installed Newcs on Pli Jade on the DM. what s/w would be best to run on the PC to share the cards and what lines to what configs do i need start the share working.
