I did mine a while ago...do you need that network box ticked?
Hi
I'm having some problems with my DM500C. Originally I had a box that was working fine, but then for some reason it crashed and wouldn't work. Reflashed it and it seemed to come up alright.
Then went to tune in the foxtel channels on it, got sync and lock and it would find 1 transponder but no services.
Tried again with a different dm500c and same result.
It doesn't matter if i'm using the card or not (which works fine when the original fox box is plugged in to the cable).
I've got a feeling i'm missing something simple.
If it was a cam related problem it should still find the channels, just not decrypt them, right?

Yeah, I've tried with network search on (worth trying with network search off?).
For both optus/foxtel cable the scan settings are the same. Try these options: Freq: 00618, Qam: 64, FEC: Auto, Symbol Rate: 06950, Inv and Network Search: tick. When you have these options set, you should see the Lock and Sync boxes ticked. If all seems well, start scanning
Maybe try 00722 freq? 618 is all HD but I don't know if that would make a difference?

Well the fact that you get a locked signal means that there is nothing wrong with the physical cable, its an issue with your dreambox. I would try reflasing the box with another image (pli jade3 is my personal preference) and see how you go.
I have tried Jade 2 and 3. on the first box, but only jade 3 on the second box.
Because it's both boxes, I'm thinking it's some sort of setting somewhere...
Noticed 618 also stopped working for me the other day on a 500C.. 722 now working here as well. cheers.
side note: I'm no longer getting anything on channel 10 (3 are coming up in line up); same channel 9 (also 3 avail). ch 7 OK. anything going on here?
thanks again.
Ran another scan a bit ago and picked up working ch 9, 10. all good now. thanks again.
Cable...a different world!
