Card Updates with DM500

I seem to find that every month or 2 I need to place my card back into the subs STB for it to update properly.

Using Newcs 1.65 serving with CCcam 2.0.11 client.
I am sure Client has been setup to do auto update

This is annoying.

I have heard from other posts here that they do not have this issue.

Ideas any one?

Versions of newcs above 1.30 have stuffed up the EMMs for EMKs etc they are not arriving to the card correctly all the time.

Never have any problems here, but I use CCcam 2.0.4. And the server update box stays on CH9.

I used to use CCcam as a server and it was good then.

I had to move to NewCs as a server because I bought an Octagon (it works best on Necamd as a client)

CCcam on an Octagon is still a problem for me

Maybe try the latest release firmware for the Octagon.
In the release notes it says it's improved CCcam stability.

I have found cccam in "OCTAGON_HD_SF918_EMU_AU_PVR_USB_eSATA_V10568__09_ 07_09_HDTV.bin" works best for me, no drops etc and every few days the Octagon has to be restarted.

This is the only version I have used and it was fine for the 15-20 mins that I tried it for.

Thanks I would like to try this but my searches on the website always bring up the latest.

Does anyone have a URL or access this firmware handy ?

Mine has been doing the same for the last 3 years without the need to ever be put in the original fox*el box.

It is shame most people go for the dual options when KISS works every time.

When you go back with ur card to the prov box do you need to get it hit OR does it come good by itself ????

I have been playing with the relook & it does like it so going back to start from scratch on a dm500 & go from there,

Just have to confirm AGAIN whats working best with minimal errors / problems

dm atm is running Jade

Leaving it in the provider box for a few hours or overnight is all that is needed. Has come good every time (about 3 times)

Using PLI with NewCs serving and Cccam as client.
Like what I mentioned (and others here as well) If you use CCcam Server and Cccam as client this removes the need to place it back into the provider box every 2 or 3 months.

I have since seen other feedback here stating that an earlier version of Newcs (cant remember which) does not have the problem.

It happenned again to me yesterday ... I recall recently updating the CCcam client that was doing the updates to a recent CCcam version.

This is a pain ... Are other here still OK with not needing updates every two months

just let the update client box use evocamd 2.17b set it to AU.
i know it works with Newcs 1.65 beacuse thats what im using.
i just recently moved from a CCcam setup to NewCS and kept an eye on card entitlments and it updated to a later date.

I use to have this problem. I've started a few posts on it.

My WORKING setup (over a year without a need to hit orig stu)

Win Xp Sp3 NewCS server 1.5
CCAM 2.04 on all dms AU off
One DM on local NewCS LAN with AU on and running Evo 2.17b

Evo 2.17b can also bring a card back from the dead
