Try using DreamUp 1.3.3.2. Also, use a known working serial port, not a usb-serial dongle (the cheap ones wont work).

tried with dreamup 1.3.3.2, but still not connecting. I am thinking it is a problem with the 5V circuit. Does anyone on this forum, repair this fault ?

Try Fenbay, but for $85 for a new one it is probably not worth repairing.

    He has an 800, not a 5xx

If you think you have a problem with the 5V rail, then you need to either repair the short circuit on that rail, or replace the 5V regulator
