    Default PLi updates

So since we now have Open PLi, there will be no more updates after Jade?

G'day Allstarnz - its a bit more complicated than that

    1. Enigma 1 - CDK boxes (500, 5620, 7000) - Stop at Jade3 Final

    2. Enigma 1 - OE Boxes (500+, 600, 7020) - Went on to replace Jade3 with Openpli 1.0 as final stable version

    3. Enigma 2 - OE Boxes - (500hd, 800, 8000, 7025, Vu+duo, ET9000) went onto Openpli 1.0 as stable version - They are still developing OpenPli 2.0 as beta heading towards stable 2.0 version for these boxes.

cook your own images on all of them thru Openpli is still available

oh thank you, that is useful to know.

For E1 OE boxes, is there really much advantage to updating to OpenPLi?

For the stuff I used - Jade 3 final had everything I needed
in fact for the clone dm600 - Jade3 was the last one that loaded and ran.
I have moved my boxes to Openpli 1.0 where it was available
but I agree no real advantages (for me)
there was a perennial movieplayer bug around the dm500 which was fixed .. but that never affected me

my advice - unless you strike a particular bug that is documented as fixed in the next version ... Jade 3 Final is fine

for the adventerous who cant stand to be behind the times - grab the latest openpli build and load that

Loaded latest stable openpli (1.0 I think) last night on 600 pvr. Previously had Pli Jade 3. Got everything working OK apart from ppua with newcamd / aurora - which has me stumped. Copied file across to same directory as Jade 3 had but no pics. File permissions are same as on Jade etc etc.

Anyone else have this issue? Will have another play tonight. Bluey is working fine with cccam in slot.

I have exactly the same before
ppua needed not only newcamd binary .. you also had to download the newcam config
as soon as I did that .. away it went

um also check ..at one stage they moved the scce directory ..
    its now in /etc/tuxbox/scce/pppua
    rather than /var/scce
although I think a sym link should get created between the two

    cheers

Thanks for that nfn.... tried adding the newcam config but this did nothing. ppua is in both directories mentioned.

Think I may have a stuffed flash. Last one I did a factory reset before putting on openpli. For some reason Dreamup will not allow flash erase on the 600 pvr.

I will re-flash with up to date ppua...

Think I will too allstarnz, switched on 600pvr this morning and same problem as before, no pics (apart from unencrypted channels) on aurora. blue works fine.

Think I will go back to Jade, it just works.

If you still want to use Aurora, try an Irdeto file and Scam 3.57....

I use this on a dm500hd (enigma2) to get Aurora. However it will not autoupdate an emk, this has to be done manually.

    Cheers

if you are using ppua for aurora and you happen to watch the bluey for some time .. or switch the box off ... the ppua keyfile will get out of sync and need updating .. this should happen in less than 20 seconds or so ..

Left it for over 1 hour while I went for my morning walk. Still no update. One thing I noticed is that ppua keyfile was not generated - does this need to copied across as well. I just copied and cmodded ppua, thinking keyfile would be generated automatically?

    Cheers

Just an update... reflashed Jade this morning and it worked straight away. Switched off 600 while at work. Came home this avo and switched on - pics after 5 seconds or so.

Suppose the moral of the strory is - if it aint broke don't fix it. Be interested in finding out why it doesn't work for me with openpli?

Yours works OK on an ongoing basis nfnovice? Be interested in knowing what version openpli you are using.....
