    Unhappy Tweaked Oscam DM500 config problem

    Looking for help on setting up a DM500 with Tweaked Oscam, using DVBAPI. The image is Gemini 4.7 (no bomb).

    I have Oscam working on my home network using PLi, but with this box, which is standalone, I had to use Gemini due to available memory with the required cams.

    The current problem is that I can see that all looks ok, the Gemini image shows the card is decrypted (green indicator), but there is no picture.

    Here is the Oscam webif details.
    label austar au=1 crypted = 0 127.0.0.1 internal caid 0604:07D2movie extra card ok
    label localuser au=1 crypted = 0 0.0.0 dvbapi caid 0604:07D2 movie extra ok

    any ideas I would be happy with. Only got a short time to get this working.

    Ta lots

    Default Additional info to help diagnose problem

    Here are the basic config files, I left out yesterday in panic mode.
    I also left the box on last night and this am, found that the indicator on the Gemini screen had lost its colour green and the tweak keys according to the webif diagnostic screen was no longer decoding the channels.

    The messages on the webif screen have also changed. the dvbapi looks as if it can no longer recognise the Aus*** caid as the "LB Value/Reader" column value is "not found" and the reader "austar" for the same column is "no data".

    I have looked at the box and made sure that the only cam running in memory is oscam. Thinking there may have been conflict with my home network, I switched all network activity off, except between the DM500 and the monitoring computer. I have tried different card speeds to no effect.

    I have tried on a box with PLi image as well, with the same configuration, with the same result, so back to the Gemini box. I have also tried using CCcam as a client on the same box, but could not get the card read by Oscam. CCcam always read the card although the indicator was green. But still no pictures. Any help / advice appreciated. Thanks for looking.
    Heith Oh yes, the card is a "spongebob".

    each asc has its own cam key and cam data then has to be added as boxkey for the camkey and rsa for the camdata

    you need to log it try card with irserver & log with aspycom until the first emc i think, then you need some 1 to work it out for you.

    hope that give you a idea

    Hi Woodie, I did not understand what you wrote. I thought that with "Tweak keys" inserted into "Tweaked Oscam", all you needed to do was load the card. I had the card decoding yesterday, as indicated on the Gemini image, with a green indicator showing, but could not get DVBAPI working. Don't know why, as its so simple. I will see if I can set it up with CCcam as the client with tweaked-oscam doing the read.

    Any other advice PLEASE I have to give this card back soon.

    Is there another way of finding out your camkey or camdata other than logging the stream? I heard somewhere that it was your serial number of the decoder?

    This problem is an Aust** spongebob card for a member of the family. It is to be used in his motorhome, hence the DM500 (12V). At home, I am using a Fox*** orange card and all is ok with the box-id and is working well when I move it to our motorhome and the installed DM500.

    Have I got this all wrong? Have I missed some posts about Austar cards and their ability to work with tweaked oscam?

    I think that I can log using oscam, but I do also have a season logger. But I don't know really what to look for. Will have to do some reading and come back.

    When I do get the camkey camdata (which I don't understand yet), how do I calculate / get the formula to achieve the required result, which is......rsa etc.

    Attached is info on just using "Tweaked-Oscam" to read "ast***" cards without any other values needed to be calculated or entered. have yet to follow through all info to support the statements made and the info provided.

    woodie is correct , you need the cam key and cam data to suit your asc ver
    Cam Key goes into the RSA key field and the Cam data goes into the Tiger RSA key field.
    you also need to have the provid that matches your card set in your ident = before the tk will decrypt the cw

    eg

    [reader]
    label = austar
    enable = 1
    protocol = internal
    device = /dev/sci0
    caid = 0604
    tk0 = xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    tk1 = xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    detect = cd
    mhz = 600
    cardmhz = 600
    ident = 0604ipipi <--------here
    group = 1
    emmcache = 1,3,2
    where is my tinfoil hat?

    Thanks for the confirmation. I have had a hard time finding anyone with Aus*** TWK experience here. Real hard when my own is just above zilch.

    About to learn about logging now and I only have a couple of days.

    Once more, any guidance is well received.

    Did you get anywhere? How does one obtain the boxkey and camkey?

    Step 1. Drop first number
    Setp 2. Drop last number.
    Step 3. Start calc.exe
    Step 4. Go to the VIEW menu and change to PROGRAMER
    Step 5. Enter the decimal boxkey
    Step 6. Change the radio button from DEC to HEX
    Step 7. You now have your boxkey.
    Step 8. IF the boxkey is only 7 characters rather the required 8, then add a LEADING ZERO to the converted hex boxkey
    The boxkey comes from the sticker on the bottom of your subscribed orange card foxtel decoder (and it's also in the on screen menu information page)

    It DOES NOT come from the the dreambox at all.

    The dreambox needs the number so it can pretend it's the genuine foxtel decoder box that the card is authorised for

    Is this the same for Aus*?

    Yeh! That's pretty good for Fox$@, but how to get or calculate the Cam Key and Cam data from a Aus#$@ spongebob. I've been logging with emmlogger, but still no further ahead.

    ident = 0604:xxxxxxxx

    Provid can be read using FMCard or something simple from memory? Is that all there is too it.

    I still need to work out my box key, cam key and data to enter into the rsa and tiger rsa field in the webif setup
