    Default Card sharing setup

    Hi Guys,

Great site! I'm looking to do a simple setup and just wanted to see what you guys think.

I have a valid connection running in on cable that I would like to distribute to a couple of boxes inside and this is how I am thinking of having it run.

DM500 running as a card server with OpenBox S9's clients running on my LAN (I like the fact they have HDMI).

Is this setup available to work on a cable connection or do I need satelites?

I think the DM500 might not be needed to be purely used as a server but I just want something nice and simple Does the internal card reader support orange fruity or do I need to get a phoenix card reader additionally?

    Thanks for your help guys.

DM500 will work fine as server with orange in the internal slot, sat/cable works the same. I'd recommend using oscam as the server.

DM500 works well as a server running oscam as mentioned above. The Openbox S9's are only for satellite so you will need to install a dish. They are inexpensive and you can get a dual or quad output LNB now for them for $20ish off ebay.
