Just wondering if there is any difference between using a SATA external HDD and a USB stick for storing EPG data with regard to speed.

unless you have the box in your bedroom and epg is setup to update at 4am and the noisy hard drive 'wakes up' and the hdd enclosure has a bright led which starts fllicker like a disco light when update epg then the wife is not happy. Lol I changed the update for 10am.
