    Default Dreambox DM800

    Hey people,

Bit of an interesting one I have the above system and have it hooked up to my home network. This goes through a Linksys ADSL modem router with 4 Ethernet ports. I have tried wireless connection to the router and cabled still no luck.

Its coming up saying DHCP is good on the network test

Then goes to IP address test and fails

Also with the Name server tests and fails

I tried static IP address on with the gateway being the router. Nothing
But I could go into the Network browser and see other devices on my network.

Thinking it cannot either see past my router or past my ISP NAT.

Any tests or solutions people can think of?

Okay I run a constant ping to the static ip address I gave it and its dropping in and out. That is not regular I'm guess as I am fairly new to these Dreamboxes.

    By pass the router first
Try a crossover cable direct to your pc from the dreambox and see what results you get from ping
Also you will know what image is on the box it will tell you on the splash screen when you boot the box up

Got it working for some stupid reason it wasn't a network fault but still doesn't explain the dropped pings.

    Thanks for the help guys.
