    Default dm500s mounting HDD

I have a DM500 with the open PLI image installed, and am trying to mount a
directory on my win 7 pc for recordings as setup below:

    File system CIFS

    Client directory /media/hdd

    Sever Directory E:\movie (shared)

Remote host 192.168.1.2 (my win 7 pc)

User name Win 7 pc doesnt have one

    Password as above

    Options rsize=8192,wsize=8192

Ticked on right side nolock, intr , soft , Linux ext

Have tried a million combinations with no joy

I can telnet to the dm500 no problems, any suggestions as to where i am going wrong

    Sparky

almost certainly permission problems on windows machine
is that a space in your user name "win 7" ? spaces there would be a no no
or are you saying it doesnt have a username ??
    if not create one ..
also it probably wont like no password - set a simple one if you have .. but set one
also remember there are permissions on the share and security permissons on the folder itself
    Dm500, DM5620, DM600 x2, DM7000 x1, DM7020, DM7025, DM800, VU+DUO and a partridge in a pear tree
