    Default HD card in DM500s

    Hi,

I am going to upgrade to Foxtel HD, will the card work in a DM500s?

Is there anything I need to configure?

    Cheers

    Shaark

Yes. BUT.....Foxtel are currently denying access to around half their channels on third party receivers at the moment.

At the current rate all the channels will be only viewable in the provider box by the middle of next week (even earlier if they make the changes on the weekend).

Put it this way: if they continue, I'm downgrading to the starter package.. if they close them as well, then I'll be closing my Foxtel account permanently.

You won't be the only one. At the current rate all transponders will be affected in another 10 working days. I'd say by day 11 or 12 after experiencing the limitations of only a single provider box (and refusing to pay the rip off pricing for extra decoders) that I'll cancel completely as well.
I'm not putting up with a lack of choice. Foxtel can go get stuffed if they want to be control freaks. Will have to start using more of my internet quota.
Looks like we'll lose Crime and SciFi tomorrow so I probably won't wait 2 weeks to cancel!

Bluey's seem ok for now but maybe the same counter measures can be implemeted on these as well. The fun of the sport!
