| Junior Member | B4L FYI Got on to LG today & guess what - they don't have a specific part number for IC902 either. I have had to order the specific LG device for this part at $27 delivered to WA which is a gotcha for a PWM IC but this is probably $15 for postage so it aint too bad. Watson |

| Senior Member | did you check watson... you may have got the supply complete for $35-40... dunno, but for the extra $8-13 i would rather change the whole thing... they're not as reliable as you might like them to be, and i wouldn't want that item bouncing its way back every 2 months...IMO

| Senior Member | just think back to DAT2WHIFTies or any of the LH6*** series amps and look at the power reg circuits, someone in korea thought might be a good idea, the 5v rail needs 1.8amps..... i know ...we'll just PARALLEL 2 7805 together that'll fix it CHEAP..... and as we all know you JUST CANT DO THAT. the first one to regulate will GLOW before the next one kicks in, and when it passes away then we figure out why... it's not REALLY there for paralleling the nearly 2 amps... it's a backup to kick in when the first one blows!!!!!

| Junior Member | iwacelect No I didn't check on the price for a replacement board - not a bad idea if the replacement PWM IC blows its guts out again. All associated caps, diodes and trannies are ok and this just looks like plain IC failure. Will let you know when the part arrives. Watson |
