| Junior Member | Gents, Looking for advice on a faulty LG RT-50PZ45V. Powered on worked ok for a while then heard a click and it turned off. Tried to turn back on led went green for about 10secs with no pic....click back to Red. Rinse and Repeat. Anyone know of any common faults with this unit and or anyone quality repairers in Melbourne for this unit if its not worth my time looking at repairing myself. Cheers Shibby |

| Senior Member | shibster, if you aint got lines down the screen yet then it's prob worth fixing... check for the Vs and Vy voltages to the y-sus pcb, then unplug the y-sus pcb then the z-sus pcb and see if the fault dissappears that should show you where the prob is

| Premium Member | make sure if you do it yourself you have a good 1/2 dozen containers for all the different size screws and some time to do it.When i did mine took me 3 hrs pulling it apart to replace the three boards and being very carefull with the mini ribbon cables |

| Senior Member | @fandtm666, mate we were doing 8 per day per tech at one stage, as far as the screws are concerned mate lg's are nothing, have you had the happy-happy joy-joy experience of dismantling a philips plasma..... mate you'd love to get back to a nice easy lg! heads up, bugger the mini cables themselves, they're not a prob... but watch out for the little connectors they go into... they're a real bugger... break that little brown locking clip off and your buggered!

| Senior Member | not only that B4L, it's when taking apart a philips plasma i fell like a big kid at a party, and someone handed you a "pass the parcel" you rip off 1 coating of wrapper just to find another..... eg take the back off, now take the black surround with the ambi-lights off, now take off the gold frame... AND ALL THIS "JUST" TO GET TO THE BLOODY PCB'S, WOOH BE TIED IF YOUR DOING A PANEL.... why have you put down that screwdriver OOHHH we haven't finished yet!!!!
