There are quite a few places like that do freight forwarding.
G'day all,
I am in the market for a new Fluke 87-V to replace my trusty Fluke 77, but cannot justify the local pricing. currently have them on special for $329.95 US which is a great price; but they WILL NOT ship to Australia for some stupid reason ! Does anyone know of a way to purchase this type of gear on line without having to deal with smaller sellers on EBay. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy...

yep, here's another one
There is a member on Austech that does this.... Hopefully he'll contact you :-)

I've used PriceUSA a few times and found them excellent.
They also have excellent communication, let you know all the time what's going on. Even the 'buyer' in the states, lets you know what's going on.
Obviously, you know about warranty issues with non australian sold products. May i ask what's so good about the 87-V.
Fluke 289's are going for about AUS$500 with full AUS warranty.
Thanks to all for the suggestions, but fortunately I remembered my good friend who now lives in the USA and is able to purchase the meter for me and ship it here (I don't know why I didn't think about him at the time ). I am aware of the warranty issues but will cross that bridge if necessary. Regarding the question of why the 87-V: it ticks all the boxes for my requirements. I have no need for the extra functionality of the 289, I just need a good workhorse for daily use. My 77 still works and will serve as a backup. The 87-V seems to be almost universally liked by all the techs I know that use one. I'm no Fluke fanboy, but if this purchase serves me as well as the 77 I can't ask for more.
Cheers
