Post Daken electric fence circuit wanted

    Hi All

I have a Daken Sentry 2000 (also known as Techfence Model BT 2000) electric fence energiser that has lost most of its high voltage output.

Checking through the circuit all electronics appear to be working.

Capacitor C10 is charged to 400v approx. ready for discharging.

I suspect the HV output transformer (TX1) may be the reason.

IT has 400v on the primary and the SCR fires ok but TX1 output is low.

Would anyone have a circuit diagram or any info about this problem.

    Thanks in advance.

    Is this of any help?

Normally its the high value resisters on the output for high low power that go open

    Thanks Chriss for replying
There are no high/low resistors on the output on this model. The SCR just fires the Tx1 primary to Gnd and that produces the high voltage output just like a car ignition coil.
I would like to look at a circuit diagram if I can.
    Thanks
