    Default cannot tune digital channels

    hi any help appreciated.

    i have recently picked up a DGTEC lcd/dvd tv model # DG-FV19LCDVD

given to me for parts as it had no sound but i thought i would repair - relatively easy fix - replaced amp and shorted ref v cap - this fixed sound problem.

but when doing a scan of the DTV channels it can only detect 1 channel - channel 44 on uhf 33

any ideas? - it uses a LG TDTC-G501D tuner

Can you receive other channels with another TV on that same antenna outlet and flylead?

If yes, do those channels have a good signal quality and signal strength?

Tuners vary, so if you signals are border-line, that could make a difference.

The issue could be a fault with the TV tuner, or received signals.

What's your location and where are you receiving your TV signals from? (eg: which transmitters/translators)

Are you using a roof-mounted antenna specifically designed for the digital channels in your area?

Given the TV was faulty, it may well be just another issue with it, but just trying to eliminate the possibility of poor signals.
