    Default Vivo LTD40FHD

    Howdy,
Got some backlight caps here that don't look real good.
Can anyone decipher these markings ? Got me stuffed.

    I'm thinking 6000v 10pf 5% or 40pf if that's a 40J . I can't quite tell if that's dust or a mark

If they are all the same, desolder them all and measure each one with your multimeter, that's if you have a meter that does capacitance. Measuring them all will give you an idea of the correct value.

10 pF 6KV. Cheap consumer goods rarely move beyond the E12 range of preferred values (40 is not in any of the E series).

He he . I thought it might have been .1 but the 'Y' didn't make sense. Anyway they are about 6mm diameter.
I'll desolder them tomorrow and see if I get a better graphic on the others. Funny, the one in the pic looks like it's been hand written by a worker at the factory. I can just see him 5,786,345...5,786,3--, oh darn now I've forgotten....1...2...3...

LY would be the manufacturer. Here's another Aussie asking similar help.

    Just checked the backlight transformers.
They are both the same and measure 23 ohms on secondaries.
    Is that normal ?

Also wonder if the 39pf caps could be replaced with 33pf ?

    For those interested :
The parallel caps are 39pf and 27pf.
