I experience a problem with the above model LCD TV. I followed the forum and found the same here. Need a firmware upgrade or mainboard. PSU over-hauled. V's on the dot. On/Off, back light OK. Mainboard stuck. Please help me.

Hi Hpelec, well after another search I've found my copy of the files for Australian Firmware, see link below.

The only problem is I'm not sure if is for your exact model code, I can't remember and have no way to find out. So use at your own risk.

The file needs a password so PM me.

Good move. :thumbup: I don't personally need the file, but I do understand how frustrating it is when you go to an effort to help strangers/members out and they can't even hit the thanks button. Or a pm thanks for boards that don't have a thanks.

Hi mickstv,

I have the same TV and pretty sure the same problem with it being turned off while in RGB mode, can you please direct me to somewhere I can get my hands onto the firmware.. I can;t see anywhere to thank you for the post like others have done, but I'll thank you here! THANKS IN ADVANCE!

The thanks button (thumbs up icon) appears in the tool bar below your user name info, but there's a minimum post of (I think 5) before it's active/visible.

Hi infin, whats the full model number including after the AB.

Hi, you say the tv turned off while in RGB mode. What do you mean by turning off. Is it switched off completely. Need more details about the TV. Switching off cannot be a Firmware problem. Like to help you. Please provide more to identify the fault more clearly.

Morning All,

Can see it has been a few years since the last post - Hoping to be able to get a copy of the firmware/software for a 42LC7D-AB-AAUVLJD (Fingers Crossed)- Have replaced any bulging caps thinking it would fix my issue - Then read all about the RGB issue and thats what i have. Its not worth me taking it anywhere to get the firmware upgraded as its such an old tele - But worth it if i can do it at home.

Any help would be appreciated
