    Default LG firmware upgrade

    Hi there Guys,

I got a Lg LCD TV 37LC2D and it freezes on Ch9 occasionally. Just wondering if anyone on were has the firmware upgrade for this problem and a procedure for it?

I have seen some fixes on here by taking out the aerial lead and then change channels or switch power off for a minute or so. But would prefer the software fix.

    Thanks in advance.

could try a reset and retune, look for shipping condition in your menu

this works when a transmitting station sometimes changes it's software, by doing a shipping condition reset it forces it to look for the latest software that channel package , eg win nine ten etc
When I explained to the guy what avatar I wanted, that wasn't what I meant!

    OMG, is that still happening.
I did a LG backed factory repair on a lot of LG tv's that had that exact issue, Ch9.
New firmware and it doesn't happen again.

Sadly i have no idea where any of the firmwares or loader program is.
When i did it, it was a Serial Null cable, change the baud rate to 11500, use loader program, select firmware and install.

Hint: Go into service menu on the TV first (menu on the remote and menu on the TV at same time), check version of firmware and write it down. After new firmware has been installed, go back into service menu and check firmware version again, to see it has actually taken.

If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!
