![]() | According to Lyngsat, only between 160~200cm C-Band dish does receive the VTV signal ( EIRP (dBW) 36 in Sydney ). How's that game for you ?? Us around near Melbourne receiving VinaSat 1 signal at EIRP (dBW) 35 (180~220). Still, it's not a cup of tea for me as it's Vietnamese broadcasting service.

![]() | hi there, my friend says you need a 2.7metre it just depends on a few things ,lnb ,scaler rings etc .,i use the avcomm rings made by garry cratt of avcomm and i can notice better signals especially in weaker signals eg telecom 1 at 108east etc ,thanks hamguy2 nsw |

| Junior Member | Hi hamguy2, Thank you for your info. That may explain the reasons why I could not get reception from Vianasat. My motorised dish is only 2.3m , and although I have no problems getting all channels (horizontal and vertical) from Asiasat2 to Intelsat2 I just couldn't get any signal registered in the signal strength/quality 'bars' even with the positioner being 'pulsed' very slowly between Asiasat4 and Apstar6! Well, maybe I am not lucky enough to be able to watch some news/current affairs of my home country from afar |
