Not sure about that... i noticed one clip up 20min after crash.... 3 hours later there were 12 or more copies of that same clip and dozens more different ones.

Extremely sad... I remember when Wayne Gardener hit a guy on track flat out with his front wheel to the guys ear, ripped his helmet clean off and left him spinning helicopter style in the air for 3 or 4 revolutions... That guy survived.

Poor Rossi... he must feel so bad. Being a fellow Italian and from what it seems in the footage, looks like he was the rider that collected Marco's helmet..... Just gutting.

DISTURBING footage has emerged of critically injured Italian rider Marco Simoncelli being dropped by medical staff as he is carried from the track on a stretcher at the Malaysian MotoGP.
Simoncelli sustained fatal injuries when he crashed into fellow riders Valentino Rossi and Colin Edwards on the second lap of Sunday’s race.

The footage, which was uploaded to YouTube later that evening, shows medical staff rushing on to the track before clumsily placing him on a stretcher.

One of Simoncelli’s legs is seen hanging off the side of the stretcher as trainers carry him towards an ambulance in the centre of the Sepang circuit, picking up speed along the way.

The group of medicos then stumble and drop the stretcher holding the 24-year-old before picking him up again and lifting him over a fence and into the waiting ambulance.

Simoncelli was pronounced dead soon after.

Graphic clip! You can see why the commentators on the night said 'we don't need to see that anymore!'

2 guys i know of that have died whilst motor cycle racing in Australia, both died the same way Marco did.... and i have another friend that got badly injured in the same manner.

As a solo accident you seem ok these days.... it's when the field run over you the trouble starts.

The chaps i'm speaking about were both leading their races in the early stages, one was in the first corner, when he came off, leaving an entire field of Thumper Nats bikes to mow over him, unaware he was even there.
Same at Broadford in road racing, the leader highsides, gets thrown on the track and the field had no where to go... another death.

Its such a prick of a situation... as a second here or a meter there, Marco would of just slid off. I really feel for the other riders involved.... they have been involved in killing a mate and there was nothing they could do about it..... apart from watch it it happen.

Yep.... the CEO of the track that day handled it very well i thought. Shut down any replays... Just showed shots of the garages and a helicopter view of the track...
    Very well handled.

Anyone involved in motorsport knows its dangerous and the risks involved.

Enter any track in the country as a spectator, turn over your ticket and read it, it warns you of the dangers of just being there and the track owners/organizers wipe their hands clean of any liabilities for your safety.

As a rider or driver, same thing, its even part of CAMS race licensing, from a junior go kart to full international open license.

The race "monkeys" are mainly unpaid volunteers at most events world wide, most are club (enthusiast) members, they are the ones that keep it working in ungrateful situations, risking their lives to keep the race clear and orderly. Very easy to bag or laugh at them, without them many drivers would be dead today, they are first there to put out a fire, get the rider/drive into a safe situation and clear the track for driver/riders unaware of whats happened or warn them with flags.

So they dropped him. In reality without the media looking for another story to sell papers, one of the medical staff lost his/her grip, the extra weight left to the other slowly brought him down.

As Simonchellis father said, he was already dead, which is what i still believe, i doubt he came back unless they worked on him to get a heart beat, but i doubt he was conscious if they did.
