I personally wish there was another box, None of the above.
If 30% or more select this then a new election called in the seat, and NONE of the standing candidates are allowed to ever re run for public office.

At the end of the day we just need to remember that all politicians are lowlife lying self serving scum who are only in it foe their benefit, not ours.

Interesting to see Katter's Party appears to nearly have as much support as the Greens according to polling.

as a qlder there is no doubt whatsoever that the government up here will change. Trouble is we do not know who the leader will be. It is an interesting state of affairs with the LNP having 10 different leaders in the last 10 years. And if Newman loses the seat of Ashgrove which is a distinct possibility who will be in charge ???
Even though it is denied if Newman loses Ashgrove, a newly elected polly who wins in a landslide will suddenly for some reason have ot vacate his seat and cause a by election in which Newman will be put up for election there.
Strange affairs up here no one likes any side any leader but after 14 years a change is needed. Just hope the LNP do not do what they did last time. Came in when everyone was sick of labor, lased one term only as they had no policies and actually winning was more of a surprise than anything else

Well , its amazing what can change in a week of politics. LNP, according to polls, is going to demolish the Bligh Government and latest polls show Newman winning his seat with ease. I saw an interview with Bligh this morning and she looked very much resigned to defeat.....it will be interesting to see what sort of margin the LNP wins by (I think its universally agreed by everyone that Labor is not going to win).

I was listening to radio to day and she all but admitted defeat, even before I voted LOL

Less than 10 seats means no cars and fewer staff, a 'party' with less than that loses party status, nyuk.

Katters AUS Party - not bad for a first effort at all, if they build on this, they could become the legit opposition, being against privatisation of GovCo assets and all.

We'll see.

Labor factional heavyweight Bill Ludwig blamed the men of Queensland for Anna Bligh's loss and warned Julia Gillard would similarly struggle to find support in his state. ''The blokes here just don't like women, especially women in charge,'' Mr Ludwig said. ''The federal election is a long way off, it's different circumstances, but I don't think the blokes like Julia either. The men of Queensland are just very negative towards women.''

thing is if labor dont get more than 9 seats they no longer get taxpayer funded perks as a recognised political party.....the landscape has changed now
