    Default The Police State Cometh

Here's what happens when politicians panic and trust the police with more power....

    No sympathy from me.

Funnily enough, when I stopped hanging out with shitheads when I was younger, the cops left me alone.

These dills should trying applying the same to themselves instead of trying to be the "victim" when they are not. The victims are the ones they committed crimes against.

Fair enough....but I was under the impression that once you had served your time you were entitled to a presumtion of innocence. Not smeared by everyone for life.

Perhaps we should just execute anyone convicted of a crime and trust that the police will do the right thing.

One of them has been to jail 7 times , why would he be entitled to a presumption of innocence when its highly likely he is involved with crime? People dont change their ways overnight, certainly looking at the video I doubt any of them have any intention of changing their life at all. They are just deadhead criminals that will never amount to anything unless they personally want to change their ways.

I was exactly the same when I was younger. I used to complain non stop about cops harrassing me. The truth is you generally only get harrassed if you keep breaking the law or keep hanging out with other undesirables. From memory my record was 17 charges in one week. I cant even remember how many times I was in trouble from 15 onwards when I left home. Nor do I want to.

These dills will eventually get sick of the coppers giving them such a hard time and will either stop seeing each other or they will move away. The cops will be happy , and maybe, they will decide to do something constructive with their lives.

Hmmmm....by your own criteria YOU are the one the cops should have been watching, not the shitheads you hung with....

I'm sorry, but I just can't be convinced that the police will not abuse their powers without a burden of proof....even lie outright in court.

These NSW cops have undoubtedly arrested people for consorting in their time....just for hanging with shitheads probably.

Interesting to see this bit of info in an article in the Australian :

Sentencing Mr Foster, who also pleaded guilty to assault and failing to comply with the requirements of the child protection register
So what did he actually get for consorting ? It seems it wasnt the only charge.

Consorting laws (as mango mentioned) have been arounf since 1920 in Australia.

    Edit : And more :
Foster pleaded guilty to meeting with three convicted criminals, as well as charges of assault and breaching parole.
If he only got 9-12 months for all that, #### me, he is doing well. I see he is now appealing and using "bikie lawyer" Baffsky.

Edit : Seems he got 3 months for assault and another 3 months for breaching parole, sentences to be served concurrently. So realistically, he got fark all. And he has had more warnings than are required under the law.

Although I had no sympathy to start with, I have even less now.

From memory, the task of the coppers in Victoria is "the Prevention and Detection of Crime'. The only way they can prevent crime is to have tools that assist them and yes consorting is one of those tools. If you are f***ing stupid enough to continue consorting after being spoken to on one occassion, then I don't have too much sympathy if you continue and are charged. And as far as having a go at the coppers, there are good and bad in all walks of life - coppers, politicians, plumbers. For the most, the bad ones are weeded out quicker and with less repercussions to society than the bloody politicians!

That's a bit harsh on the coppers mate...

Fair points, and true. But the three cops who lied in court are all still on duty, so it seems no one was "weeded out" at all.

Heres an opinion piece from todays Canberra Times that compares the police to the military, lawyers and our favourite catholic priests in their coverups.

Anyone is free to trust them to do the right thing. I don't....
